Was Prominent in Masonic Activities; Funeral To Be Wednesday

Mechanicville

Edwin D. Harrington of 11 Tallmadge Place, Mechanicville, died suddenly yesterday at 5:15 p.m., following a heart attack. He was born in Cambridge, Washington County, Sept. 29 1873, but had resided here since 1895. He entered the employ of the Duncan Paper Co., and continued his duties following the transfer of the plant to the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Co., until 1933, when he retired. Mr. Harrington was a member of the First Methodist Church and also a steward for many years. He was also a member and past master of Ondawa Lodge F. and A. M., and the Masonic Club. The survivors are his wife, Mrs. Louise A. Harrington; a sister, Mrs. Alice Winslow of Cambridge; two nieces, Mrs. Lloyd O. Sandt, Cresskill, N.J., and Miss Helen Harrington, Orient, L.I.; two nephews, Daniel W Harrington Demarest, N.J., and Preston M. Harrington, Tenafly, N.J., and five grandnephews. Funeral services will be held at the home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Freeman S. Kline, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Salem.
